I don't really care much what happens to the Colossal Scimitar, the skin is ugly anyways. If it becomes more common then good for those who like the skin.

I remember back in the days of Diablo 2 only a handful of the most elite gear was ever found, and it was truly better than all the others, not just a skin. Only the best of the best could attain stuff like that, and they deserved it. I would agree that colossals, and other "rare" items, in GW should be kept rare, IF they had anything that actually made them better than a regular common sword.
No, you're playing the wrong game if you want that. Guild Wars is (supposed to be) about skill, not about your items/time spent. Anything which gives an unfair advantage doesn't belong.

The only rare stuff now are the ones from HoH chest (crystalline, runic blade, stygian reaver, etc).

Serpent, Dwarven, Elemental, Crystalline, Stygian Reaper, and I might even add Summit are all safe. Colossal was just waiting to spiral into decay. Oh well, now I can buy one for cheap for my monk or warrior. Cheers to that.

So let me get this straight... a person that does not have the time to get "rare" skins that dont actually affect the game deserve them as much as someone who was willing to work for them?

Wtf?

lol i think they should nerf the colossal scimitars outside zehlon reach haha, make it more of a challenge to get, i like challenges to be honest because if i ever did get one i would be happy in the end and find it a goal that i reached and is really proud of it. i always saw the colossal scimitars to be one really high end weapon, its to bad they decided to make it so easy to get, in a way i'm dissapointed but in another i'm a little happy they made it easy to get, but maybe a little TO easy

To bad you already paid quite a amount for one, but i think it's nice to see them become more common even if they might become to common now.

We'll always have rare skins left tbh for example: Crystalline, Stygnian, Tribal axe, Jade sword, and perhaps even the tyrian sickles.
Tribal axes could always drop in lower zones but never had any spot wich dropped a lot of them so that's why i'm thinking they will still be rare.

Now if only my luck changed i'm tired of getting insciptionless rares in NF ><

Any NF skin was bound to be hit by the price nerf bat. The only reason I see people QQing is because they haven't exploited this in time.

Funny thing is that this reminds me of the Kaolin price crash.

I'm so sick of hearing this. /cry I can't farm ecto because I'm to lazy to cap VwK and pay 4k for a totem axe. Its not hard to make the W/Rt build and its even easier to use it and it only takes about 20-25 mins a run. If you can't do that then go farm greens or anything else. There are millions of ways to make a profit in this game.

And you noticed this just now? A bit late don't you think :/
I hopped in on the ride quit late (Wednesday) still made a mill selling a req 10 & req 11.

And they sorta nerfed it in general, because they say you don't have any farm code anymore. So not true. First runs 1 to 2 gold a run. Now only white junk, and an ocassional purple.

The only problem with prices or rare items dropping in value is that chestrunning becomes hardly worth the effort. If i invest 100hours in chestrunning and hardly get the money of the keys back thats no good
The only profit in chestrunning came from 3-4 rare items that could be sold for around 100k about 90%of the stuff went to the mearchant.

PS: are serpent axes cheap now? Always wanted one before i knew they were so rare.

TBH I am glad that colossal's have dropped in price because now I will be able to afford them, but that being said, it is a terrible thing that happened to them. They were a luxury item and have now been reduced to a very low price considering what they started at.

Everything that doesn't come from HoH Chests exclusively will be piss poor cheap very soon. Quite ironic, the best PVE Reward come from a PVP chest and go to those that couldn't care less about PVE Stuff. Heh. Besides the drop rate of the colossal is not "pathetic low" but instead "ridiculously high".

Separate yourself through skill, knowledge, organizing events... make yourself a name if you need it so badly... not trough ebayed stuff or stuff you earned for having no life.

How about that. :>

I suggest making a super rare skin that is even uglier than a Crystalline, with the fitting ugly and expensive armor option so that we can detect this kind of "i need to have rares to be different" people. :>

How is it "work" if all you do is play a game for extended periods of time?
